The First in Russia

Internet-round of —the national festival “The Russian language is national property of the Russian Federation” —starts on the 15th of February, 2012. —
According to the Presidential Decree the annual celebration of the Day of the Russian language in Russia was established. The festival «The Russian language -is national property of the peoples of the Russian Federation» will take place for the first time in 2012. —

The founder is Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The facilitator of the first national festival is Sholokhov Moscow State University for the Humanities.

The Day of the Russian language celebration and the festival should verify the fact that people inhabiting Russia and representing different confessions and nationalities aim to understand each other, realize the role of the Russian language in establishment of equal cultural scientific and economic relations within Russian society and in formation of all-Russian identity. -The aim of the national festival “The Russian language is -is national property of the peoples of the Russian Federation” is to create conditions for demonstration of unique capacities of the Russian language as nationwide fortune of Russian people and as vehicle for enrichment and development of cultures of Russian federation nations in modern state of language. —
