The international content “Muses of the world” (“Modern art and education”) is an annual Moscow event since 2006. This is the first musical contest in Russia which was originated by a university for the humanities. Today the contest is an essential part of international musical life.
Worldwide known musicians, distinguished Russian educators and artists along with foreign experts are the contest committee and judges.
Every year more and more contestants from Russia, the CIS, Japan, China, Spain, the USA, the UK, Germany, Korea, Cuba and many other countries are taking part in the contest. Its main aim is to spread and popularize Russian culture, pedagogic schools of music and fine art. —
A great number of the students of the Department, its choirs and chamber ensembles have been the laureate and prize-winners at this prestigious project for many years.
