People’s artist of Russia Nikolai Viktorovich Baskov’s gathering class at the Faculty of Culture and Musical Arts. Applicants, who were enrolled to vocal Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in 2011, will be able to take part in this new project of Sholokhov Moscow State University for the Humanities.

Short description of the program:
The training program of master of Vocal Art will allow to upgrade vocal skills (variety art, classical, folk art) and in the sphere of the theory, history and a methods of vocal art teaching in the course of work on the master’s thesis. In the master thesis vocalists are given unique opportunity to analyze pedagogical experience of outstanding opera singers and masters of a musical stage.
Special features of the training of «Vocal Art» in Sholokhov Moscow State University for the Humanities:
• a combination of live performing, educational and scientific activities-
• interest in the concert life of Moscow and international competitions, in particular, «Modern Art and Education»-
• internships and master classes with prominent figures of culture and art
• participation in the performances of the musical theater for students (Professor Stas Namin)-
• probation (under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia V. Syutkin)-
• the independent choice of original creative courses and disciplines.

Entrance Test:
A comprehensive examination consisting of a creative part (accomplishment of the program by using a musical instrument, singing or conducting) and the History of Music.
Philosophy and foreign language exams are equated to the entrance exams to postgraduate studies.
