The methodical seminar «Teaching of critical thinking in the course of the common English language» was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and International Communication on the 21st of February 2012. —
The seminar leader is Prilipko E.V., -Professor of Higher School of Economics,the head of professional teachers retraining programs. —

The problems of formation of competency in a foreign language, the ability of the 21st century, Bloom’s taxonomy and critical thinking, summarizing and formative assessment, effective development of critical thinking using modern teaching aids, in particular, Q: Skills for Success, which helps to think critically and succeed academically were discussed on the seminar.
