Global Village 2012: ECOSPACE

The project «Global village» started up in 2011 as autumn school of ecological journalism has considerably extended its boundaries this year. Ecologists, journalists as well as designers and organizators of work with youth became participants of the project. -The development of leaders movement became the main object of this year. The first day took place on the 9th of September. -First-year students from the faculties of Ecology and management of natural resources, Design and Organization of work with youth gathered for a trip to -Kaluga region in the Vykhino building on Sunday morning. Students should have formed ECOSPACE in Lazinky which will unite students, develop their communicative and creative abilities, leader qualities and special skills to create and carry out projects.

Nobody from the first-year students knew what to expect. There was one condition for all of them: raincoats and rubber boots. -We arrived in Lazinky in 6 hours! This year Lazinky celebrates its 10th anniversary! Our ECOSPACE should become an undoubted present for the base. —

Students from the elder courses of the faculty of Ecology and natural sciences became our leaders: Risukhina Darya, Shikun Natalia, Halilova Farzana and Galimova Elina. They helped first-year students to realize the reality: absence of cellular communication, Internet and television within 3 days. —

64 people, including students, leaders, designers, organizers and teachers were divided into 4 teams. Under ECOSPACE they were called «Apel’sinky», «Organs», «EkodizORM» and «TEAM». Teams with a help of young people from the Volonteer center went through «Ropes course» and also realized other ideas of organizers. So the first day passed away.
