Volunteers from Our University Reached for the Stars with the Kids

On April 8th volunteers from our university visited Almazovsk boarding school to introduce the children to the amazing world of space and stars. -Volunteers told the children about the stars, planets and meteorites, and together they revealed all the mysteries of the space. To have a better understanding of our planet, children drew it, cut out it from color paper and then put it out on the exposition. The unusual lesson got all of the pupils really excited. -The kids tripped one over another answering the questions, memorized all dates and facts . By the end of the lesson all the children knew the arrangement of the planets in Solar System, could easily name them in order and were really proud of themselves. —

Anastasia Bichkova, volunteer: «It’s amazing how eager for knowledge these kids are. We laughed, played and learned a lot of new things together. You kind of want to freeze such moments in time, because they are the most sincere and honest.»
