The Earth! The Earth! The albatross says. We announce: landing passed without any incident. All 310 boys and girls together with camp councelors of SMSUH achieved sunny Latvia at last. Time flight – 17 hours and one minute.
Exactly at 10 a.m. according to Latvian time the train Moscow-Riga arrived at the 1st platform. Buses were waiting for the young tourists near the railway station building.
And everybody took his place. Small children took one building, teenagers – another one, those who are older – the third one. Things were put into bedside-tables, suitcases – under the beds, shoes – near the threshold. Thre’re some certain laws that work in children camps, and one of them is room order.
Having eaten after tiresome road it’s time to do the most important thing – to start making the acquaintance, resting and being friends.
After making the acquaintance with neighbours it’s time to start meeting with the camp territory. Where is the swimming-pool? Where can we find a doctor? How can we get to the sea? Now every newcomer of “Albatross” knows all the answers. Frankly speaking it’s early to swim in the sea as the water temperature in the Gulf of Riga is only 12 degrees. But who can be upset by it if you are going have so much fun and adventures in the future?!
The flight is going on. We’re keeping in touch.
