Youth projects: how to win a grant?

5 and 6 June. Hot June days. Institute of policy, right and social development. Department of organization of work with young people. Exciting atmosphere of the examination of project management with students of the 4th course. What’s unusial here? Now the session is in progress and all the students of the Sholokhov Moscow State University for the Humanities pass examinations and tests.

Unusual form of the exam. It was suggested by M.V.Reizvih, associate Professor of sociology and organization of work with young people. This exam was more like all-Russian contest of youth projects. As at the grant contest there were the Commission of experts, project presentations, and filling in the grant’s applications.

Yes, students pulled tickets, answering theoretical questions, as it usually happens, only it was already in the second part of the exam. First, the main part of the exam was the defence of their project and the project application to the expert Commission.

All the tools of project activity were studied and developed during the semester. During the exam students showed strict experts, as they can use in practice the theoretical knowledge. Everyone during the semester decided project’s ideas. And used his theoretical knowledge to make projects documents. As a result of such intensive training for the exam each had a prepared presentation of its project, and also prepared grant’s application, according to all rules. Projects were individual, so everyone had to work a lot himself, to work independently. The result is 30 prepared project applications.
