International activity
The international activity of — Sholokhov Moscow State University for the Humanities is carried out according to «the Basic directions of the international cooperation» and is confirmed by the University Academic council. The coordination of work in establishment and development of the international cooperation is assigned to the Management of international contacts which is accountable to the rector and professor V.D.Nechaev. The head of the department is Kruglov Vyacheslav Valeryevich.
The main aims of the department are establishment, development and coordination of communications of the University with — foreign educational, scientific and cultural centres, with scientists and experts of foreign countries and other international structures of communications, the reception of foreign students, trainees, post-graduate students and doctoral candidates and assistance in official registration of documents.
Now the University carries out cooperation within the limits of operating contracts with the higher educational institutions of 16 countries, including Germany, Spain, Finland, China, Great Britain, the USA, Poland, Israel, South Korea, Syria and others. The work on the development of new forms of co-operation with foreign partners within the limits of the Bologna agreement is conducted.
The University exchanges delegations with foreign partners and students of different faculties go on trainings to Germany, Poland, China, Great Britain and other countries in order to improve their knowledge of foreign languages. For lecturing and carrying out of master classes the University invites professors from leading universities of Europe and the USA and also provides opportunities for professors to give lectures and to take part in international scientific conferences abroad.
The university is an active participant of the international student’s forum «Seliger» and also the initiator and the founder of the international competition «The Modern Art and Education» (“Muses of the World”).
A lot of professors — have won international grants of European scientific organizations and are also members of executive boards of the European educational structures and scientific associations.
There are more than about 500 foreign students at the University. Basically these are students from the CIS and Baltic counties, together with trainees from China and Spain and post-graduate students from Spain, China, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
