— Do we give assistance to the applicants in Russian visa obtaining?

Yes, sure. -How much do the insurance programs cost?

Life and health insurance sum ranges from 105 to 500 dollars and it depends on the chosen insurance program. Life and health insurance is compulsory for every foreign resident, arrived in the Russian Federation for studies.

— In which conditions will Master’s Degree Students live?

You have an opportunity to choose a living variant which is more suitable to your needs and possibilities. The first variant is economy version (50-60 dollars per month) — living in a student residence (an hour‘s drive with public service vehicle- humble conditions of life- neighborhood with other Master’s Degree Students. The second variant is medium (200-250 dollars)living in a rented flat (nigh at hand to the academic building- full conditions- neighborhood with other Master’s Degree Students). The third variant is private (500-700 dollars) — living in a one-room flat which you rent yourself.

— What about the location of academic building?

Academic building on the base of which education will take place is situated by the address: 9, Ryazansky Prospect, Moscow (10-20 minutes from the city centre). Transport infrastructure is so well-developed that you can get to the academic building by buses, trolleybuses, mini-bus taxi, and suburban trains.

How much will monthly expenses on transport amount? Will Master’s Degree Students be able to reckon on such travel privileges as Russian Students have?

Cost of the unlimited travel card (for all types of transport) is 70 dollars per month but you will hardly have to pay the required sum of money for transport. Students have an opportunity to process a social travel ticket and fare will be several times less than usual.

— Will Master’s Degree Students have admittance to the sports infrastructure of the University?

In the Ryazansky academic building there is all for wellness management: well-equipped gym and an opportunity to go in for sports. Not far from the building there is a swimming pool and a fitness-center.

— Will Master’s Degree Students have admittance to information resources of the University?

The program of “smart environment” development is carried out in SMSUH. This program is aimed at the creation of modern conditions of admittance to information and educational resources. Internet-communication, electronic library, materials of SCOPUS and Web of Science systems, distant cooperation technologies, data bases of cyberpolicy and applied political researches Center are at the disposal of our Students.

How is students’ nutrition organized? How much does lunch cost in average?

Cafeteria in the Ryazansky academic building is opened from 9.00 till 19.00. Average cost of lunch is 5 dollars. Besides that a huge shopping centre with lots of cafes is situated near the University. Average cost of lunch is 5-10 dollars.

— Do we need certificate of Russian language knowledge for entry to the University?

It’s not a must. Our Master’s Degree Students will have an opportunity to study Russian language as within a framework of Master’s degree program so at will in addition on course of Philology Department.

— How intensive will be academic workload of Master’s Degree Students?

Master’s Degree Students will attend 3-4 days a week. Classes begin at 16.00 and end at 20.50 by latest. First half of the day will be occupied by self-guided work and also individual probations, practical work and so on.

— Do we have an opportunity to work in the period of Master’s Degree Studies.

In the period of studies according to the enactment 13, paragraph 4, Federal act from June 25, 2002 N 115-ФЗ “Concerning the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” students may work on their own time (after class hours or on holiday as staff personnel). In other circumstances foreign students may work only having working permit.

In which form will entrance tests take place?

Entrance tests will take place in the form of interview concerning questions of program with board of examiners (2 questions).

What is it – matriculation programm?

Matriculation programm is a list of questions (political science course) and also a list of study guides and electronic resourses, materials of which can be useful for exam preparation.
