CLASSICAL VOCAL SCHOOL

Classical vocal school of the Faculty, despite its youth, managed to establish a good reputation both in Russia and abroad. According to many experts, its founder, Head of the Vocal Department, Professor Boris Nicolaevich Kudryavtsev, is one of the best vocal pedagogues in Russia. The main adornment of this department is Professor Nikolay Victorovich Baskov, who came to the department in order to give his invaluable performing experience to beginner-singers. All classical vocal professors have not only a teaching experience but, what is more important, an experience of creative work in the best musical theatres in Russia.

This course consists of following disciplines: solo singing, vocal ensemble, modern musical theater, vocal art history, music informatics, modern music industry, stage speech, basics of acting, music producing technology, basic conducting, studio recording technology.

POPULAR VOCAL SCHOOL

The basis of popular vocal school is the training system, worked out at the Faculty, for crooners from the very beginning of vocal art (voice training) to learning different styles with pop and jazz art genres. Artistic Director of the Popular Vocal Department is Valery Miladovich Syutkin, a person who cultivates in students love to classical heritage, desire for self-realization on the stage -and respect for the best traditions of their home variety art. Faculty students have an opportunity to pass through an annual casting, conducted by famous Stas Namin, Professor of the Vocal Department, the founder of Russian rock. Every student has a chance to become one of his theatre artists. One of the most beloved professors at the Faculty is a Head of the Popular Vocal Department, a wonderful pedagogue Viktor Zabiyako, who graduated dozens of laureates and international competitions and shows winners.

These training courses consist of following disciplines: jazz aesthetics, pop and jazz music history, basics of composition, instruments studies and computer arrangements, studio recording technology, improvisation basis, pop musical instrument, popular vocal, pop and jazz ensemble.
